Élève et disciple fervent du grand Baucher, il rédige ce que cet écuyer incomparable s’était fixé vers la fin de sa vie comme représentant à ses yeux la vérité équestre.
Tout est contenu dans les 30 premières pages. Une fois bien imprégné de ces principes, une progression donne les moyens de pousser l’éducation du cheval jusqu’à une sorte de perfection idéale.
Bacharach note :" pour le cavalier un peu averti qui souhaite découvrir le Bauchérisme et le mettre en pratique, le livre de Faverot, si bien rédigé et si minutieusement exposé, est le mieux accessible. Mais il n’en faut pas sauter une ligne. "
